GENERAL CLEANING

 

V-Cell foams do not promote mildew growth, however, mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances that are not removed from the foam.

 

Suggested Cleaners: Simple Green, Fantastic, Formula 409, Krud Kutter, mild soap such as Dawn

To clean follow these steps:

​

 Brush off loose dirt

 Hose down

 Spray a mixture of solution onto the surface and allow to soak      for 1-2 minutes

 Use a soft bristle brush to clean

 Rinse thoroughly until all soap residue is removed

 Allow to air dry

 

Things to avoid:

​

 Higher pressure water from a pressure washer

 Sharp objects such as knives or tools dragged across the surface

 

Things to clean up immediately:

​

 Bird Droppings & blood

 Wine, Mustard, Tanning oils/lotions Note: for difficult to remove stains, acetone may be used on a            spot and clean basis.

 

UNPACKING & STORAGE

 

UNPACKING

 

Unpackage the product upon arrival and remove from the box. Note, during long-term storage, permanent curling or creases can develop. To avoid this, remove from the box and lay flat with a few weighted objects on each corner of the pads.

 

STORAGE

 

The Orthodek polyester backing, which protects the Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA), can be affected by humidity over time. If stored in a dry, cool area, the PSA can be preserved for later installation. Storage in a dark area (i.e. no sunlight) will ensure that no fading will occur and that all colors will match upon later installation.

 

SITUATIONS TO AVOID

 

Storing or installing the pads near reflective surfaces which can magnify light and cause intensified heat and potential discoloration.
